3D mapping with drones for topographical activities
Are 3D aerial photography and orthophotography the same thing? Of course not. Flying a drone is not enough to get an orthophoto. Instead, you’ll need an orthographic projection in which the vertical parts disappear and the resulting images are treated with specific softwares that correct the errors caused by the position and the angle of the camera and by the difference in height.
To take an orthophoto, we take sequential pictures of the inspected area, maintaining as much as possible an overlapping between two nearby frames. The result is a georeferenced 3D model thanks to which engineers, surveyors or architects can design new infrastructures or procedures for infrastructure maintenance.
Thanks to our drones we can carry out detailed surveys and provide images of extremely high quality. Contact us for further information and we’ll tell you more about our operation method!
